Plastics Song Contest 2 is the sophomore edition of the Plastics Song Contest. It will be hosted in F.C.R Orriconia following their victory in the premiere edition. The contest will consist of a grand final of 21 songs. Currently there are twenty-one countries in the Plastics Broadcasting Association slated to compete.
Location[edit | edit source]
On 23rd of January 2017, F.C.R Orriconian Broadcaster (TVRBFCRO) announced that it would host the contest and after a fierce bidding process, stated that the contest would be held in the country's capital and largest city Üzgünürün. Later on, the broadcaster stated that the competition would take place in the relatively new Arünür Üzgünürün - built in 2010 - which is the largest arena in the country.
Bidding phase[edit | edit source]
A few venues have been announced to have shown interest in hosting the contest. PBA announced the conditions under which cities and venues could announce their interest in hosting the contest.
- The host city had to be near a major airport.
- The venue must be available for at least six weeks before the contest and one week after the conclusion of the contest
- The venue must not be open-air, but an air-conditioned building with a capacity of at least 10,000 and a minimum ceiling height of 15 metres (49 ft), insulated for sound and light.
- The green room must be located as close to the arena as possible (or within it), with a capacity of 300.
Host venue
City | Venue | Capacity | Notes |
---|---|---|---|
Künülöt | Künülöt Stadün | 30,000 | Located in F.C.R Orriconia's second city and constructed in 2005. Künülöt is one of the main centres for music in the country, however the venue would need to undergo some renovation works due to a recent storm that hit the area |
Bızbündür | Tele Arünür | 16,700 | One of the smaller venues in the selection but a good contender due to the central location of the city in the country and the venue itself. |
Üzgünürün | Arünür Üzgünürün | 50,400 | The largest arena in the whole of F.C.R Orriconia and was purpose built for concerts and international competition in 2010. The arena was chosen due to the significance of it, the technology present at the arena, the size and many other factors. |
Üzgünürün Bazar | 24,000 | The Bazar was the first arena to be built in the capital city and is often used for sporting events and therefore doesn't have a roof. The local government suggested that a roof as well as a smaller hall could be built to be used as a green room, press centre and meet and greet. | |
Yürüp | Yürüp Halar | 20,000 | Yürüp Halar is an outdoor amphitheatre, however the city considered building a temporary roof over the venue so as to fit with the regulations |
Azbürür | Azbürür Saldır | 9,000 | The smallest venue on the list as well as the oldest venue - constructed in 1965. The venue, however, was recently renovated and contains the latest technology |
